Shopping at ALPIMODEL.com is fun and easy.
ALPIMODEL.com shopping cart is like a real shopping cart where you put your items in, and take any of them out at any given moment.

As you browse our site, you may place items in a virtual shopping cart by clicking the  button next to the products you like.

If you want to keep browsing, click the "BACK" button of your browser.

If you want to review the content of the shopping cart, click on .

When you're ready to make your purchase, click . You will be asked all the necessary information to process your order; Name, Address, payment method.

That's all!

You will receive an automatic email confirmation, usually in some minutes. If you don't receive any message in an hour, something is going wrong: may be you have misspelled your email address.  If so, please send us an email, so we can reply with an order confirmation.
Please be sure that your email address is working: orders without a working email address will not be processed. If you have a Hotmail or similar account, please check that it is not expired.

Feel free to use our shopping cart, adding and removing items, and immediately see the shipping cost and the total cost automatically calculated. Don't worry, the order will be processed only after you have provided your address and payment information in the Checkout page, and pressed the final Submit Order button.

Prices and Payment Methods

All price quotes on the site are in Euro and US Dollars.
The US$ prices are based on recent exchange rate, all credit cards will be charged in Euro currency.
The exact conversion rate will be automatically applied by your credit card company.
In case of price variations, we ensure that you will pay the price given in Euro at the time of placing the order.

Deliveries to European  Community (EC) countries are subject to 20% Italian sales tax (the same kind of tax named VAT, IVA, TVA, Mwst. in other European countries).
The amount of the sales tax is automatically calculated by our shopping cart, each time you add or remove an item.
 

European Community (EC) countries, subject to VAT (sales tax),  are the following:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Vatican City.

European Community sales tax exceptions:
The goods shipped to Channel Islands (UK) are not subject to VAT. The goods shipped to Isle of Man are subject to VAT, as it is regarded as part of the EC for VAT purposes.

Deliveries to non-EC countries are not subject to sales tax,  but they will be subject to import taxes and duties of the destination country.
The Customs procedure is entirely managed by the courier. You will pay possible taxes and duties to the courier, when you receive the package. We can't calculate import taxes for your country, you may contact your local Customs office for further information.

Currently accepted credit cards are: VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS.

The orders are secure because the Credit Card data are encrypted as they travels on the internet.
Our shopping cart runs on a secure server with SSL encryption certified by Verisign(TM).
For your protection, the name and billing address you enter must match your credit card billing statement.
WE SCREEN DILIGENTLY FOR CREDIT CARD FRAUD (even for small orders).

To speed up the credit card verification process, you are requested to specify the CVV2 (Card verification number):
credit cards include an extra three (or four) digit verification code printed on the back of the card. This number appears after the credit card account number:

The ordered items that are in stock are automatically reserved for you as you submit the order, and usually shipped out within 2-3 business days.

Shipping methods, times and costs

We know that we are selling high quality scale models, so we use a high quality (and fast) courier, like UPS.
The fast and accurate service provided by UPS ensures that the package takes a minimum number of transfers during the transportation process. That means the best treatment for the goods, combined with our careful packaging.
After shipment, you will receive an email with the tracking information, so you can know where is your package at any time.
All shipments by UPS courier are insured.
Another great advantage of shipping by UPS courier is that in case of problems, the courier response is very fast.

For some areas of the world where a courier shipment may be too expensive, we offer also a certified airmail shipment, which is relatively slow but cheaper.

Shipping costs are determined by a package's weight, volume and the ship-to zone. They are optimized and automatically discounted depending by the amount of the order, so you always get a better service at a convenient cost.

The arrival of your shipment is affected by some factors: product availability, payment method, shipping method.
If all items are in stock, packages are usually shipped out from our warehouse as soon as possible (normallly within 2-3 business days).
This would be delayed if an item was on back order, or if the order was placed over the weekend or on a holiday.

We will be closed for holidays from 20 to 26 June 2008.  No shipments will be made in those days; however your order will be accepted and the items automatically reserved for you; the website is always automatically updated with the real stock availability.

Typical UPS courier delivery times:

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: 1 - 3 days

USA & Canada:  3 -4 days

Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong: 3 to 5 days.

Items availability policy

The availability of any item is clearly indicated by the "In stock!" annotation.
If an item is noted as "Available soon", it will usually be in stock in about 7 days or less.

Our stock status is frequently updated every day, but the "in stock" annotation may not be true if the model was suddenly sold out between two updates of the website (it rarely occurs, however).

Also, if you order more pieces of the same item, the ordered quantity may not be totally available.

If one or more of the ordered models are not in stock, the models will be back ordered. If the expected delivery time is more then one week, you will be noticed by email so you may reply choosing between the following options:

wait until all ordered items are in stock and ready to ship

ship immediately all available items, and cancel the others (shipping costs will be recalculated)

modify the order (remove or add items to the order, shipping costs will be recalculated)

cancel the entire order.

Security and privacy policies

Because we are concerned like you regarding any transaction over the web, we have employed a security system on our web site.
Our Secure Server uses SSL (secure socket layer), verified by Verisign Inc. This ensures that your credit card number and all your personal  information is encrypted.
This information can not be read as it travels over the internet.
Our experience say, after many tens of thousands of SSL Secure Server orders processed with no one security issue, that your order at Alpimodel website will be much secure than using your credit card in the real world.

Information sent by Fax is secure too. Our FAX number is +39-02.700.433.011 (the zero after +39 is necessary!).

We are committed to maintaining your privacy. We will not sell or trade any of the personal information you disclose to us.
You will not receive unnecessary e-mail from us. We will never give your e-mail address to anyone. We hate SPAM, like you.
You will only be asked to provide personal information that is essential to complete your order.

Returns Policy

As long as an item is in "as new" condition, has not been open and remains sealed in original packaging, the product may be returned within 14 days of receiving the shipment.
Items altered in any manner from the original condition, or which the product box has been damaged or altered cannot be accepted as a return.
After the return, the item will be inspected. If the item meets the above requirements, the price of the item will be refunded (import taxes and duties can't be refunded).
